Random life

On Monday 12Nov went to Bishan GYM with tracy in the evening.... Basically we exercised for 20mins and sat in their toilet for more than 20mins.
I doubt i will go back there again, the place was flooded with guys... BLEAH!!!

Bukit Timah on a Saturday Night... Look at the same of food that we ordered. I hardly ate any, cos I was having a bad flu. Mostly was by cheese & SC.

This ice-kachang cost 3 bucks, huge with a big scope of ice-cream.

Bangkok Retreat on 1-5 Nov

I went back to second home on 1-5Nov. Yippie!!!

Bangkok is Wendy( my sister's best fren) and my sister second home.

To extragerate a little, the 3 of us can't live without Cha-tu-chak & Pratunam Wholesale.

Is been a long time since the 3 of us went to BKK together.

Anyway, as usually I stayed at my fav hotel Baiyoke Sky. The rooms are big and most importantly I am very farmilar with that area and also the best rates in town for such 4 star hotel.

And this time we got upgraded to a junior suit. So quite shiok.

There is a Cream& Fudge Factory - i think that is the name, is like ColdStone in America and Coldrock at Holland V. Yummy Yummy I had rocky road. So Shiok la and so much cheaper in BKK.

Thailand different kind of rice grains. i saw it at BIG C just across Central World.

Steamboat at MK restaurant is a must. Now they even have a MK Gold. So classy...

Bangkok has changed alittle since my last trip there in DEC!!!

Must go to Central World and take a look, there is ZEN & ISETAN departmental store there. Just newly renovated. ZEN looks stylo-milo. and there's alot more restaurants on the 5th & 6th floor.

My upcoming holiday is Hongkong & Shenzhen. Most probably is the last trip in 2007. I have no money to shop, so to go travelling is quite a torture.

This hongkong trip on 20Nov is to baby sit my grandma & grandaunty. I will be taking care of them and bringing them to Victoria Peak, DA-YU-SHAN to eat vegetarian and visit my aunty's fren (my aunty & cousin will be going also) and going to Shenzhen for the weekend to visit my uncle. Frankly, I hate shenzhen not for the fact that the old folks have not been to my uncle's new house, I wouldn't want to enter shenzhen, So messy, crowded and irritating. personal feelings.....

Botak Jones

This evening went to have Botak Jones with Cheese at AMK.
I ordered Fish & Chips. The taste didn't change much since I last had Botak Jones.

But as I was eating FISH & CHIPS, I was thinking about America - Cheesecake Factory.
If anyone of u will be going to STATES, must try Cheesecake Factory.

SANTA CRUZ

Haven't posted anything for a long long time. Anyway, SANTA CRUZ has lots of spanish people, anything that starts with SANTA is conqured by spanish people. There's some history to it, dun ask me why, like SANTA CLARA which is nearby 30mins drive and SANTA BABARA.

I am thinking if I should start a new blog or should use the same old blogger address.

Basically it is very cold over here although in the afternoon there is sun and it should be summer. But the mornings and nights are freezing lar. As it is summer the days seems longer cos it gets bright at 5plus in the morning and it starts to get dark only 8 plus at night.

So when the sky gets dark I am usually in my cosy little space. I have a vietnamese room-mate from NUS. Oh well, I was supposed to be staying with a Singpaorean poly gal. But she can't work here cos she has visible tatoos and the company policy is no visible tatoos..
Hello this is america lar, you walked down the streeet there are so many weird people with body piecring and tatoos. Oh well, but that's the company policy, u can have a tatoo but it cannot be visible.
Poor gal, but lucky she has a aunty living nearby the BOARDWALK (name of amusement park I'm walking in).

I went to the aunty office once, then invitied me over, after we went for some light shopping at the mall. I can walk to the downtown which is 15mins away but I cannot walk to the mall, have to take a bus, quite far away. So troublesome. Anyway, their bus not like SBS so many frequency a day. Their's is called Metro and if you missed the timing, good luck man.

Let me talk about the Singaporeans students, first of all my room-mate from VIET is different from those engineering viet that I encounter with in NTU. My room-mate's name is Nghong, i think that's how u spell it. I am so thankful she can speak proper english and most of the times I can understand her. We do talk and also cook together, she is very easy-going. Everytime ask her something she will say anything also can.Ok lor, so I decide most of the time espcially for supermarket shopping. HeeHee, but sometimes she will say no if she really dun want to.

Next, there are 2 poly gals, one from TP and the other RP. I usually talk to them most of the time. After work I will be at their place gossiping abt work or stuff. Very fun to be with them, Maybe is the age, they are 20 only so young and hyper. Sometimes we have dinner together, I cook some and they cook some then we'll share our food. :)

Following will be 4 NUS people, 3 gals and 1 guy. The guy is the bf of 1 of the sweetest and smallest gal in the NUS group. The gal is really small and she is very friendly and nice, no air around her one. She studies arichetecture lor in NUS. smart sia!

Then the bf, he looks decent and I dun talk to him alot cos he quite quiet one, nothing to comment.
Left with 2 gals, one of them more loud & rough and the other very easy-going.
Anyway, i dunno much abt them dun socialise with them alot, they are so kept to themselves.

But I am glad to have the 2poly gals and my room-mate and not forgeting my ex-roommate who can't work in boardwalk. When I am free, I will ask her out cos she is alone here no frens except her aunty and her cute cousin NATE (4yrs old) forget to take picture.

In fact now is 6.50am here, I woke up cos I saw the wireless router not blinking, is it so irritating. When the router is not blinking it means we will have problem logging online. So i had to get up and fix the problem or else the rest of them can't use it in the morning. The main modem and wireless router is in my place cos I was the one who went to downtown to apply for internet. Actually it was the 2poly gals who found out all the information but last wed they had to work and I didn't have to work so I went to get it done lor. Also good la, I am in control of the internet. Anyway, it is shared among the 8 of us. The first payment was USD175 for the routers and activation fee and also first month bill. Subsquently it'llbe USD49.95 .

Today is my off day i think i will call and complain or go downtown and shoot the guy. There is like some standby mode lor, when all of us are sleeping and not using the internet it will stop blinking.

I think I posted lots of things already. that's all for now, is either i will go back to sleep or watch tvb shows or tudou something like youtube...

Late Night Shopping on Friday Night

Friday was my first time experiencing late night shopping at Orchard Road. Every last friday of the month has late night shopping.

Singaporeans really shop alot. Is already 11plus in the night and the shops at Wisma still filled with lots of people shopping. So rich hor those people. Anyway, derelyn, evan and I waited for a cab at paragon for 30mins. We decided not to call take it as catching up. HeeHee.

Exams are over already, but I still have FYP presentation to do. I have been trying to figure out how I should do the powerpoint slides. Headache....

Last Paper

I will be taking my last paper at 1pm. I should be excited and happy and yippie. 4 years of uni education. finally i have completed it.
But there's still a dumb dumb FYP presentation to go thru which I am more afraid than exams.
Exams u do your tuts can at least get a pass. FYP presentation, u won't know wat the moderator is going to ask man.

SIGH!!!! I think i should go thru my formulars again. Bye Bye

Custard Apples

Have you guys eaten or seen custard apples before?

Last Saturday was my first time seeing and eating it.

I know I am abit SK.

My parents came to hostel bring dinner for me. And my dad bought a custard apple on thursday from the Mount Elizabeth hospital when he went there for check up. The fruit stall in Mount E sells very fresh fruits but quite expensive. Maybe cos the fruits there are really fresh & sweet.

Anyway, my dad kept in till Sat to eat it cos he wanted to share it with me. Partially the fruit was really big, i dun think he can finish it all by himself. Well my mum & sister usually not interested in such fruits. Only I like to patronize my dad. :)

He so nice, bring it and show it to me. It cost $12 bucks from Australia. One fruit cos 12 bucks. How many dozens of apples & oranges can we get man.

Mr Lee, eaten it before, but his was small & not as sweet as mine from Australia.

Basically, it looks like another soursop and the inside also the same just that soursop is sour the name says it all.

Another story that I wan to say. When my parents were in Athens they found red-blood oranges, so inside is redish in colour. The appearance of this fruit is abit dull and not polish unlike those normal oranges we buy in NTUC or markets. Completely different.

My dad especially bring back about 10 of them to let me see & eat it. Oh well, he left it in the kitchen on those baskets. Is the correct thing to do wat. But then my grandma & grandaunt ate all of them away.

The old folks thought it was theirs, buy and after praying forget to eat it. As it looks dull & skin old old. so they thought it was going to spoil. They went to eat it. Some of the oranges they threw it away cos i think it is spoil. Wah liao, so stupid lar. The colour inside the orange is not bright orange and they still continue to eat it. Wah Piang. At night when we came back, my dad found out the oranges were gone, question them and they say oh they ate it & complain not nice lar, not sweet some very sour and the colour looks weird, is like purpleish red.

Hiyar in the end they still ate all the 10 oranges. The colour looks wrong but they still eat it.
Old people really old people. Nothing to say about them.

Anyway is time for lunch but i dunno wat to eat and i also need to study liao. Humm... i have been half studying and half doing other things so i won't be bored.

The tut questions so difficult sigh!!!

Exam Period

Ho Ho!!! Is exam now. Yesterday just had my first paper.

And next wed will be my last paper. Which means to say I am almost 60% graduating.
As the other 40% contributes to FYP presentation on the 8th May. After that I am completely done with my 4 years of engineering.
WoW!!! so fast hor. When I was year 1 I hated engineering and regretted not studying hard for A levels, or else I won't get dumped to NTU engineering. But then again I survived semesters after semesters. Finally, the most difficult part is to clear FYP presentation and my last paper.

Anyway after exams there are 10 thousand and 1 things I need to do, I want to do and also have to do.

Need to do:
1. Pack my room & bring everything home. ( i'll miss hostel life, so free & easy)
2. Start packing for work & travel
3. Settle all the documents and make a photocopy of everything
4. Many many other things to do
5. Have to help my mum work. Cos she is going to america for holiday in the early May with my dad, aunty and a boy cousin.
Hopefully, no problematic customers. Like that time I had to entertain a Japanese client when she was in Athens. Can't stand talking to him, half in english, half in Jap. And so naggy and long winded. Had a hard time dealing with him, i hope he bought air-ticket from my mum, one day i shall ask my mother.

Want to do:
1. Go visit St James afte FYP presentation, or else i will feel so SK
2. Go out with my grandmother and grandaunties (will miss them)
3. Go out with my beloved jet-star cousin & together pay a visit to my aunty at the temple before I leave, although she is not ard anymore, but I will still continue to buy beautiful magnets when I am in states and will bring it to the temple to show it to her when I am back.
4. Meet up with all my friends , catch up with them & go sing KTV, which i haven't sang for a long long time

Have to do:
One and only thing have to do and most important is to settle the FYP presentation.
Prepare powerpoint slides and clarify all my doubts and uncertainty before the presentation. Or else on that day when the professor ask qn and I can't ans I will really look like a clown and won't get my A.

Alamak wonder wat happen to my parents & my luck these few days.

Bought 4D for them on sat and sunday,
Sat 2nd prize 1142. I buy 1124 for them. Bang
then Sun 1st prize 1782. I buy 8712, this is my family car number, i should have bought ibet lar.
at least can win some $$$ although not alot.
Then today toto: strike 3 numbers, but to get money need at least 3 numbers plus additional number or at least 4. hiyar.

Hope this week my luch will be better.

Anyway, met the FYP moderator today. scary lor. he says i smoke him, that is quite bad lar.
Frankly, i stun by his qns. by right i shouldn't be cos is very basic. simply shows i know nuts abt my FYP.

Sigh!!!! Need to do something about it. anyway, my parens will be back on thur morning, wonder if they will buy anything back for me. So envious them, enjoying now. but last time they also suffer and work very hard to earn $$$$$$$$....

Anyway, i must not give up. Jia you all my graduating friends. Dun give up. We sure will make it big.

Just another day

Oh well, today lab has visitors from america, stanely morgan, they are probably going to invest in NTU. Actually, suppose to present my FYP to them, but cos of the tight schedual, and they came to our lab late, we didn't have time to present at all.

Wah lao, got me so excited in the morning and my FYP partner also very excited, he actually woke up early to go lab to prepare.

Anyway, is gona be very stressful again, cos monday have to meet moderator. It also means next monday the moderator will mark my final report & also have to demonstrate to him my simulations & hardware. Scary....

By the way, so jealous my parents are in Anthens now, they will be going for 10days, yesterday morning they arrived. earlier on I msg her, she was shopping at Pull & Bear, and before that she was in camper, she said the shoes quite expensive, so i told her dun buy lor.

She says the pull & bear stuff quite cheap there. the t-shirt 20 bucks only. Anyway, she claims that it is very cold there. Anthens cold, but singapore is hot lor.

Hall very stuff & warm, have been opening my door but no pirvacy.

I love holidays, wish i could join them.

I should stop dreaming and work hard for FYP & study for quiz and do my work.

Retail Therapy

To make myself happy, I went to buy a new phone last night around 11pm, nokia E65. Didn't exactly want to buy new phone for the time being, cos I might want to check out iphone when i am in the states.

Hiyar bad thing about me, i like to change phone & try new gadgets. On wed I was at jurong point, then went to see phone cos mr lee wanted to buy new phone not me. Then I saw a nokia phone that i quite like cos of the wifi function. means when i am shitting in the shopping center toilet or anywhere with wireless i can use the phone to log online. This makes me very excited & happy.

The phone has 3G function but no front camera, so quite pointless, either the person see me when 3G or i see the other party, can't be simultaneously. But my main focus is not 3G phone liao. Before this new phone, my previous 2 phones are 3G, to think abt it i seldom 3G with anyone.

So i concluded that i dun need a 3G phone, i dun need a phone with 3.2 megapixel camera cos i have a digital camera. Since i dun need such function, i think this wifi phone will serve me quite well.

Mr Lee, tempted me by showing the yahoo acutions for my phone and found a dealer selling it at slightly cheaper then retail price. Brand new with unfilled warrenty. So last night, after lab ard 10.30pm, i went to clementi to meet the guy. :)

So pek cheak, we stayed back in the lab till 10.30, the research student left ard 9 plus, but we continued to do. Sigh!!! still no results, the hardware just dun work, the signals are wrong & totally distorted which wasn't suppose to be the case. Each time, when we on the supply voltage of up to 150V i damn scared lar. Cos any min can explode & catch fire if the circuit is not stable and partner & I may get burnt & die especially no one is ard late at night.

So freaky, my heart pumps very fast whenever the power is turned on, immediately if the circuit sends out funny sound or the power supply indicates high voltage & over current, I have to react them fast and turn off the switch as fast as I can without damaging anything.

Sigh, end of the week liao, hopefully after lunch it will work. still have a few more hours before 5.30pm. God pls save us & let it work....

Dark Times

Is been quite awhile since I blog and spend time on MSN. Now is 12.17am, Wed. Time really flies very quickly.
Have been very very very very very very very busy lately, too many things to do and too little time and a very sad thing happened last 2 Wed, 28th Feb.

on the 28th Feb, afternoon just before I was going to eat my cup noodle before going to school to do FYP, I received a phone call from my mum. Immediately, I burst into tears and was at lost for a few mins. I will never forget wat happened on that day. I lost somebody who is close to me. All this happened too sudden, when I get back to my senses, I quickly packed my bag & changed up & call for a cab.
It took me quite awhile to get a cab as it was raining heavily. Wat a bad timing.

After 28th Feb, really marks the start of my busy days and lost of sleep. Haven't been sleeping well for the past 2 weeks, only slept for a few hours everyday and it wasn't those deep sleep at all, keep thinking alot of things and worried for my FYP report which I have no clue on how to explain the circuit.

Finally, on Monday Night, I couldn't take it. I slept from 10pm to 8am. I was suppose to edit and write my FYP report but I was too tired too do so, my head was spinning and i reach the point where I couldn't think anymore. Had dinner with my parents at Rochester Park , cos it was my dad's bday, it was a low key bday dinner for my dad as we are not suppose to have any joyous occassion for the time being. I am so glad after dinner, they sent me back to hall, actually if they dun send me back to hall, i wouldn't even leave school to go out for dinner.

The FYP report seems to be endless, anyway, I am not the worst, my FYP partner is worst of then me, this week he has 2 presentation, HRM & Professional Communication and the stupid HRM still have to go meet the manager to confirm the business plan. SIGH!!! And 2 reports, HRM and FYP report. HRM is really a killer and takes up alot alot of time and energy. All EEE students will know, how torturing it is. Lucky I took it when I didn't go for attachment.

Anyway, FYP partner if u have time to read my blog, jia you kae. :) I also waiting for the hardware report. Not like my software part is completely done lar. Anyway, we have to work faster. SIGH!!!

I really wish I can stop the time. Sigh!!! back to work. Have to stay up again.
Humm... and poor FYP partner still discussing HRM for tmr's presentation. Going to be 1am. I remembered last time when I did my HRM, I stayed in school overnight to prepare the presentation slides and type the report.
Started from evening to 5am, then went to bukit timah for prata breakfast. This is just one of the terrible nights, there were a few other nights, but ended earlier like 1 or 2 am.

Weekends

Chinese New Year is gona come to an end.... Next sunday is the last day.

Anyway, friday was such a tiring day. Had to go school for FYP, after FYP went to my aunt's place for gathering will all my relatives, had to socialise like MAD, then after dinner played BlackJack, interesting part is the players age range from 11 years old to 70 years old.

My young cousins also know how to play lor, but they very gulliable, dunno how to fake one. If they above 21 points, the face will change, haha!!! of course the banker will see thru. By the way, the banker is my mum. I played for an hour or so, won 5 bucks, then I left to catch a movie at vivocity....

The highlight of the NIGHT!!!!!!! ONE NIGHT STAND, dun be mistaken not that kind of one night stand.

Is a annual hall event and this was my last time going for such event.
Basically, all the hall people will go for dinner, followed by movie and lastly super then we'll return to hall and sleep in our own room of cos. :)

Dinner: Bukit Timah.
Movie: The pursuit of Happyness ( vivo city) the seating there not comfortable at all, not only i complain ruilin & cheese also say the same thing.

Around 3.30am made our way back to Hall 10, i fell asleep on the bus, oink oink.
Slept ard 4.30am.

Sat:
Woke up at 8am. Cos I had a damn scary night-mare. I dreamt that I was at the cemetry with my hall people playing games. Then the dead people was grouped according to just died & died long time ago.
When we were about to leave the place, I was a just died body start to wringle then slowly more and more started to wringle & were doing something like those yoga exercise. so freaky lar, then one of the ghost saw me & sent a basketball to chase me. I got so scared that I woke up and dare not go back to sleep.

Then, went to annie with my sis to cut & colour hair, the cut hair was ok but the colouring was a flop & as usual she always like to propse to do alot of things to our hair.

I told her i wanted to highlight, but dunno wat colour, so she said the in-thing is dark colours. I dun mind lar for a change from the red & brown & purple. So i highlighted dark blue. After all the washing & drying there was not much of a difference lor. waste $$$$ lucky not very expensive but then again...,. sigh
Next, she said do steaming, so hair won;t be so dry, then i not firm enough also never reject. so stupidly steam hair. Means more $$$$$

In the afternoon., went to my grandma's house. Sit around chit-chat
(quite boring)

In the evening, much better, met my PL fren, evan at bishan went to walk around then we went to my PL fren's house sandy for CNY gathering.
Sandy invited alot of people but we dunno most of them. There were only a few PL people. We sat at one corner, started talking & gossiping & catch up with each other.

Sat was really a tiring day, I was out for more than 15 hours. Really getting old.

On the first day of New Year, our Chinese Dinner at Melbourne Chinatown.....

My sister & I, last night in Melbourne. Basically, we came back one day earlier than my parents & family frens.

That night, the 4 kids, went to chapel street for cakes & drinks. 2 years ago, when I was there, the cakes were fantastic & the choc shake was thick & yummy. However, 2 years later everything turned wrong.

It was a big disappointment.

Have u ever experienced your car being TOWED AWAY??????

On the 2oth Feb, something very interesting happened. My sister & I almost couldn't come back to Singapore. It was a horrible thing that can ever happen to a tourist.
Our van got towed away in Melbourne city. Can u believe it? SIGH!!!!

As our van is slighlty higher so we can't park at the underground carparks. Which means we have to park along the road. ( it is legal to park there from 7.30am-4pm) But from 4pm-6.30pm if you parked there, the car will be towed away.
Stupid us who dun read the signs properly & being a tourist we are not sure of australia road signs, we found a parking lot along the road side and immediately parked there.

At that point of time it was 3.45pm, so when i inserted more coins inside, the machine only accepted up to 4pm. so with a singaporean mind, aye means after 4pm free lor, no need to pay. But by right being a singaporean i should be aware that nothing is free in this world. especially in the city area. hiyar!!!

When we came out of the Shopping center, we realised that the red van was missing. 10 of us were panicking lar. Wat the hell, my sister & my flight is at 8.30pm. The best was we left the passports in the van. We got scolded big time from my mum.

We looked at the sign again and noticed that 4-6.30pm tow away. the sign was so high up and we are shorties where got look so high up. Anyway, tow away time , the sign was a BIG C. Never since such sign before.

There was a tow away number to call, we called the number and got directions to the carpark where they kept the towed away vehicles. We walked for 45mins just to get to the carpark. It was really a torture. From within Melbourne city to out of the melbourne city zone.

Fri Fri Fri Fri

The week is coming to an end, I should be happy right, cos tmr is sat. But somehow, I really dread this.
Can't wait for FYP to be over. I am currently in the lab now, decided to ramble some nonsense in the blog, before I proceed to get some simulation results.

My FYP partner is working very hard in the lab now, trying to find out wat's wrong with our circuit. I think he really did quite a good job lor, sitting down & facing all the small small small components. This is also my FYP but I have absolutely no idea wat's all that he is doing.

To make this FYP better, I know I am suppose to do something abt the report. As the deadline is nearing and is gona be CNY. Sigh!!! I am looking forward to that but it also means it is half a semester already. Very soon have to meet FYP moderator & hand up report & after that will be exams. After exams, FYP presentation and then final we finish our 4 years of Uni education.

This is happening to fast and my heart can't seem to take the speed.... Like racer car, all the final year students are racing against time.

I am bored

I swear I am bored lar.... I am suppose to be writing the FYP report and look for information, but after lunch I am so lazy and tired.

Actually, I am quite lucky lor, my partner is busy fixing the hardware and here I am sitting down using the computer. I feel quite bad lar. but I also can't help in the hardware, the more I help the worst it will be. SIGH!!!!

Thanks FYP partner for doing all the shitty work. I will try to make up for it by writing more of the report and helping u in the writing. I say try arh.... So dun depend on me too much. I am really bad at writing technical aspects. And somehow I really suck. Only good at remembering answers and vomit everything out during exams.
When comes to understanding the theories I really have no clue at all.

As I am sitting in the lab trying to do my best I feel so horrible. Sigh!!! can't wait for 5.30 lor.
Grrrrrrrrr.... I am total horrible. What's wrong with me today? SIGH!!!
Actually not only today. Is everyday. I am so free but I spend all my time day-dreaming and slacking. I must get my life back. I must wake myself up.

Studies in Malay Music

Everday wed I go for malay music lesson, is a general elective. Very relax one, just sit down listen to the music teacher. He is actually a malay musician and also produced his own CD, everytime we go for class he will try to promote it.

Maybe I will buy it after CNY where I get all my ang baos. :)

So basically the lesson is abt 2 hours but it was ended b4 tt. Then for the 1st hour he will talk abt the history of malay traditional music, and the next hour we will get to learn to play an instrument.

Is quite enjoyable, no exams one, only have to write an essay on malay music.

The guy in blue is our teacher, and look at the pretty gals playing the mini drum, there's a name for it but i forget.

Is been a long long time

I just realised that I have not been updating my blog, I am busy but not very busy studying.
Sometimes I dunno where has all my time gone to.

This is the start of Week 4, I must buck up, write my FYP report, study for quiz do tutorials and prepare design assginment.
So sian lar, the week b4 CNY have quiz on 15th Feb (thursday, 11.30-12.30) Thank goodness I am not leaving for Melbourne on wednesday. Initially my mum wanted me to skip sch on thursday. But i say better not. Who knows my flight on thursday is at 3pm, which means I cannot go for design class on thursday and have to crash the part-time class on Monday night.

Finally I managed to get my new digital camera, Canon IXUS 800.
On sat, went shopping with my parents at vivo city.
Nobody ask me out on sat, so I decided to look for my parents. It was quite worth it anyway, my mum was in a good mood that day and she finally agreed to buy me a new digital camera. It took me so long to beg and persuade her to get me one and finally the day has come.

I bought it at vivo city , challenger. I didn't know places at challenger also can bargain one.
The usual price was $599, I paid $540 for it. The sales man was so "generous" lor, keep throwing in free stuff. Initially he Added in 1 GB of memory on top of the usual package, so I have 2 GB of memory now and a mini tri-pod & cleaning kit. I didn't really want to buy it from there, but he was quite persistent lar, then He added in more freebies, creative ear phones and 2 USB travelling adapter and initially after the discount was $559, then I know that if I go to Sim Lim I probably can get a better price and at least go Sim Lim can get a canon camera pouch & a extra battery. So I told him directly, the price still wasn't to my satisfaction.
Next he questioned if I study business or I am an expert in sales. so good at bargaining. Yar lar, he dunno I always go bangkok and bargain at cha-tu-chak, so much experience at bargaining.
Relunctanly, he push it down to $540.
Oh well, my mum says okay and my dad no objections hence we bought it.
I think my mum sometimes quite pian-tai, she says so poor thing the guy, do sales not easy, just buy from him lor, cos my mum in sales line also, so she says she knows it is quite tough.

So here's the story of my new camera. I know my sister is quite jealous, by right after buying the camera going to meet her for dinner at holland v. But when I told her I have a new camera, she says she also want to buy things, so change the dinner to orchard. My sister wanted to buy dress for work, when my mum finally decided not to be bias and buy my sister something, the dress my sister wanted didn't have her size. Hiyar, so unlucky lor. We keep walking around Tangs & Isetan, die die my sister also have to buy a dress home, just when she found the dress she likes & we think it looks good on her, dun have her small size. Unlucky sister.

My mum alway says she is not bias or wat, but cos my sister go overseas study spend alot of $$$$, i study in singapore so cheaper can buy more things for me and moreover me sister is working now, should support herself. Next time when I work I also must pay for myself liao.
Sigh, I am going to miss being a student.

On sat i went home with a happy face but my sister's face was black. By now, she has gotten over it liao. Anyway I promise I will buy her coach bag when I am in america.

End of the week

School has started and it is going to be full blast very soon. Really NO LIFE!!!!!

Just last saturday we were at steffi's house having a gathering. It was really fun lar, we were there from 8pm to like 3am plus. We had a delicious meal prepared by her mum & choc dates pudding with ice-cream made by steffi.... Thanks steffi :)

Today, I didn't join uru, mel, steffi, fiona & elf lar, ( sorry guys ) I was late for dinner cos went shopping, so in the end I didn't meet them at harbour front. Moreover, I was quite tired already & I have a thousand word essay due on Wed. So my plan was to come back early to do some research & start writing the essay. Oh well my planned failed.

I just got home like an hour ago, ard 11.30pm, went with my parents to visit my grandma. Aiyou, my grandma look so pale, she was having flu & cough. Bad I guess she felt better after seeing me. (what a filial grand-daughter) HeeHee :) At least she was smiling, perhaps if I can communicate with her, I will get to understand her better.

The next thing is, I went shopping but I didn't buy anything for myself. I got my dad a Braun Buffel key pouch. Aiyou, if u ever get to see his key pouch u will faint, so ugly, old, colour fading, old-fashion & etc.

When I brought home the present, I could see the happy grin on his face. Initially he didn't want to open it, he wanted to keep for his birthday which is in March. Then I forced him to open it to see if he was alright with the design. He was very happy with it, but he said he will keep it, probably use it during chinese new year. SIGH!!!!!!!

I know my dad has a thing for Braun Buffel after Mdm Leong & family got it for him for his birthday either 1 or 2 years ago. Dun see my father old man, he also quite brand orientated one.
After I spent $63 on his key pouch he asked me whether I have enough money to spend. HeeHee, so sweet hor such father, everytime worried I no money, but he also poor man lar, cannot ask money from him or else when he retire he cannot go australia for holiday.

In fact for the past few weeks, I have been using my dad's spare ezlink card, heehee that really saved me alot of transport money. Usually when the card has no money I will return it to him then he will top it up, so on a weekend when I go out, and my ez link no money again, I will take his. I know I am a cheapo, but this usually happens during the holidays only, cos I dun get pocket-money & I go out more often, how to survive.

Sigh!!! I really feel like sleeping now, but how how I must get something done, the lecturer sent out an e-mail saying that the essay has to be handed on 17/01/07 (wed), for those who just got a place in the Module is to check edventure for info on the assignment.

So there's really no escape, I die die wed also must hand up the assignment, actually she really too much. Second week of sch must hand up essay. Really SIAO!!!!
I complain so much also no use. Still must do, unless I drop this elective. Worst is I can't drop it cos almost all the GEs are ZERO vacancies. BIG BIG SIGH!!!!!

Yummy Food right? This is a capture of what I ate when I was in Bangkok during christmas...
Food at Fuji Restaurant is fantastic and the price is very reasonable.

The new airport in Bangkok is kinda off further, but I must say that it is not bad lar, the infrastructure resembles Hongkong Airport, the pattern similar.

Anyway, SC, CS & I went to eat Popeye's.
Something that I must comment, their chicken is really juicy, CS was bitting his chicken & a big 'squirt' came out from the chicken, guess where it landed?
It landed on SC specs, thank goodness he wears specs. It was the chicken's oil & water. Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

But for a change, I think it is much better than KFC.
Oh I quite like the bun, Mel I took a photo of the bun for u, is placed on top of the chicken... Are u drooling?

The reason why we went to the airport cos, our fren Liyong is going to Canada for exchange. So shiok, I have never gone for any exchange....

While waiting for LY to mingle with his parents & relatives, we kinda off got quite bored, so CS & SC started to take stupid photos. So it is detective LEE & dective TAN trying to hide behind the cool bronze thingy, thinking that nobody can see them. Looks like a bird head sticking out.

Usually countdown I am hardly around. Somehow it was really god bless. Because high chance that I will be in Bangkok celebrating countdown, but this year I went during christmas. On 31st dec, unfortunate events happened in Bangkok. So scary, the bombing was rather near the hotel that I was staying in, Siam City Hotel.

Given such a long weekend from Sat to Tue, usually I will be away with my family & my family frens. Dunno why, I was in Singapore for countdown. PHEW!!!

After the countdown, we walked to Pungol Park to play sparkles. The walk was so tiring & long, but we did it. HeeHee, see the beautiful light up sparkles.
